FRIDAY NIGHT IS ROCK NIGHT

Yes its back our Friday Night Rock Party, as once again we blast into our rally weekend. We will try to restrain DJ Rob Paston from slipping into the leather gear and doning his sunglasses as he opens the rally in his own unfathomable style and introduces you to a two hour rock party in the hands of…
IRON TYGER.
An awesome line up of jaw dropping musical talent belies the tongue firmly in the cheek attitude whilst delivering hit after hit from your favourite classic rock bands rolled into one incredible guitar shredding, drum thundering show. Hit after hit of the biggest and best rock and pop anthems of the 1980s (plus the odd hit from other decades) coupled with furious fun and powerful demands for audience participation they give you permission to rock, mosh and headbang till you drop!
Led by the phenomenal vocal talents of Roz Smith who was personally tutored by no other than Deep Purple and Whitesnake singer David Coverdale and has won awards for her vocal portrayal of a sixties icon (it won’t take long to work out whom) and featuring a band who are equally adept at displays of superb musical ability, their two one hour sets will pass all two quickly.
It’s not surprising that they have headlined the British Superbikes after race event twice and last year won two awards from the Classic Rock Network and have just released a highly acclaimed second album portraying their versions of the greatest hits of Queen. You will find yourself drawn onto the dancefloor and will let yourself go to most of the biggest rock and pop songs played live. With Rob Paston entertaining you throughout its going to be a party to remember and that’s only your first night.

SATURDAY NIGHT IS GALA NIGHT
Don your fancy dress and make your way to the big top (ballroom) and prepare for a packed evening of entertainment. Kicking the evening off and comparing throughout is Rob Paston who will get the party going in his usual manic style before we all turn into Simon Cowell and mentally judge this years entrants in our HOGs Got Talent showpiece; will last year’s high standard be beaten? Once again our raffle for our supported charity The Blood Bikers will be drawn during the evening so get loads of tickets to be in with a chance.
Of course no gala evening would be complete without the fantastic trophies being given out from the custom bike show and finally an old feature the fancy dress parade makes a welcome return before the evening’s special guests take to the stage.
KOO KA CHOO
One of the few bands that will be wearing more facepaint than the audience KOO KA CHOO bring their high energy tribute to the Glam Rock era. A NEW LOOK FOR RALLY SUNDAY
This year sees a whole new Sunday for rally goers as two new features are introduced. Designed to give New Forest their own unique rally footprint these new events will stretch limbs and brain alike ending the rally in true New Forest Style with a massive party.
After the morning rideout you can choose, if you’re not on the afternoon rideout, to join us in the Ballroom for;
Sunday Funday
This year’s funday features some silly games, a biker related quiz (no techie stuff) including a live music intro/or solo round provided by another of our An Afternoon With guests Whitefake.
The games will be role reversal games for ladies and gents and are a heavily guarded secret to save cheating by practice. Strictly refereed by the gestapo… sorry… adjudicators and will be a knockout competition until a winner of each sex is found who will receive a massive(!) prize. There may be time for a mixed game before you’re introduced to 45 mins in the company of;
Whitefake
Following a 15 year break for family reasons, a recent one off Birthday reunion rekindled the spirit that saw the band sharing the stage with the likes of Limehouse Lizzy and Thunderstruck as well as tours in there own right. Now rehearsing hard ready to unleash their tribute to the music of Whitesnake once again they call in on us for a special warm up gig.
Stunning vocals and blistering guitar take you through all the eras from the blues rock British birth of Fool for your Loving to the American west coast Goliath of Still of the Night. Fronted by the amazing vocal talents of Phil Bennett and featuring the incredible guitar talents of Paul Raby even a couple of lineup changes due to health issues haven’t stalled the momentum driven forward by their powerful rhythm section. You will be treated to all the hits and much more sadly this video shot at the reunion is the only taster we have as yet.

During the bands break an ingenious pub style quiz for teams will take place including as mentioned the live music round before Whitefake return to end the Funday. You can of course stay and leisurely watch the soundcheck fun as we prepare for the evening.
Probably the biggest change to a rally Sunday night going get yourself to the ballroom at 7pm and prepare yourself for;
The Seaside Shenanigans
The first for a Hog rally as far as we know a festival style live music extravaganza will end our rally starting at 7.10pm and this year is based on a night out in Portsmouth. Subsequent years will visit other cities in our area. A night out in Portsmouth, or Pompey as its known to the locals, is normally a rough and ready and boozy affair. In its past, at the height of the Royal Navy, it was classed as third in the country for pubs per square mile – many abounding with live music. Although fewer pubs and venues exist now you can still find a wide variety of live music and the chance of a barney on a night out in Pompey. Kicking the evening off;
The Targets
Fast and furious guitar based hits from the fifties to the present day will wrench you from any thoughts of a easy evening and propel you to the dancefloor as they provide you with a high energy hour that will have you dancing and singing along.

A very brief changeover giving you the chance to rest for a few minutes and then find yourself in the company of;
Thee Sultan Shieks
90 mins of cheese, slease and mayhem ensue with this band formed from members of two of the south’s biggest tribute bands you may be able to spot a “Mick Jagger” but more likely is a “Paul McCartney”. Can’t reveal too much about the content but they are sure to have you dancing and singing along to a set full of songs from your past some of which you may not wish to admit to owning or knowing the words to, this is an old video so not to give the game away.
[YouTube_WD id=12 item=12]
A brief break to rest and refresh before the glamourous part of the evening takes over (everything in Pompey starts looking glamorous around 10pm). As we introduce you to;
Brock Landers and the Estelles
If you have any dancing energy left you’re about to lose it as this tight high class band takes you on a 90 min plus journey through northern soul, sixties soul, seventies disco and today’s dance classics. The band is normally found gracing festivals and stately homes but love getting down and dirty in their hometown fronted by the vocally stunning Estelles hit after hit will have you pouring yourself onto the dancefloor as we bring our rally to a end with a bang.
